Ironically every team he mentioned were the teams we never could get past, especially in the playoffs! Our in-season/division, and playoff nemesis were the Pistons 1988-1991, and playoff nemesis were the Celtics. Bc of these teams we never could get to the Eastern Conference Finals! We had a chance when we took the Celtics to 7 games in the Eastern Conference semi-finals in 1988. 'Nique and Bird both scored 50 points, but the Celtics were too much for the rest of the team. As Dominique put it years later in interviews: BACK THEN THERE WAS NO "TAKING THE NIGHT OFF" BC EVERY TEAM HAD SUPERSTARS ON THEM AND YOU HAD TO BRING YOUR A GAME EVERY NIGHT! I still feel that the Hawks woes now some 30 yrs later are bc the bad karma of them trading Dominique to the Clippers for Danny fucking Manning (of all people) in February 1994! Dominique was coming off an ACL injury and having the best season of his career and we were in 1st place in the Eastern Conference. Pete Babcock, the GM at the time admitted years later that: THAT WAS THE WORST TRADE OF MY CAREER.....Ahhhh duhhh ya think?!?! So, to me the karma of that trade will haunt them forever bc Dominique was OUR Michael Jordan!!!
